Low light laser therapy
Patients suffering from androgenetic alopecia or another form of hair loss may benefit from LLLT because it has been shown to both stimulate and retain hair follicles. Hair follicles cannot be revived, but if treatment is begun before excessive hair loss has occurred, the condition can be greatly improved.
How does it work
A laser’s light is absorbed by the stem cells in the scalp and converted into energy. This vitality is then channelled into fixing broken parts and potentially kicking off the hair-growth phase.
The hair follicles that are weaker, thinner, and wispier respond very well to LLLT, resulting in hair that is significantly thicker, stronger, and healthier. Furthermore, it effectively halts further hair loss. However, LLLT can only stimulate hair development in areas of the scalp where hair is currently present; it cannot revive dormant hair follicles.
Therefore, to maximise the benefits of LLLT for hair regrowth, it is best to begin treatment as soon as feasible.
